Do you have diabetes and want to learn how to live healthier, feel better and gain confidence?

The Diabetes Self-Management Program (DSMP) is a 6-week program, occurring every Thursday beginning July 16th through August 20th.

WHAT YOU WILL LEARN:

• Smart meal planning and nutrition tips
• Safe and effective physical activity
• Proper use of medication and monitoring tools
• Prevent complications and staying healthy
• Coping with stress and staying motivated

BENEFITS:

Join MIC in celebrating our Family Literacy Series! In these sessions, family members learn about the importance of early childhood literacy and various tools to support their young ones.

TOPICS INCLUDE: School enrollment, progress of children’s learning at home, understanding the importance of family literacy, and celebrating family literacy session milestones.

Join MIC for a fun and helpful event as we give away FREE backpacks filled with school supplies for students! Open to all students and their families in Union County. Let’s help our students start the new school year with confidence and success. We hope to see you there!

Friday, August 14th – Golf Tournament in Aumsville

Save the date for a fun golf tournament brought to you by MIC. Celebrate Micronesian Day through community fun and connections. This is a fun and friendly event open to all community members + all skill levels. Sign up either by yourself or with a team! Teams are limited to 4 players per team. Individuals must be 18 or older to participate. Admittance fee: $80/person. Please register by July 31st.
